Tune in to learn about the important invasive species work we do in Oakland County, our day-to-day working realities as a CISMA (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area), and the unique challenges of ecosystems like ours. We'll talk about how we work across regional partners to increase our impact, highlight some of the species we wrestle with most often here in our part of Michigan, and how we engage our community to stop their spread.
Emily McNally is the Field Coordinator for Oakland County CISMA (Michigan). She works closely with municipalities, organizations, and homeowners to help with surveys, educational materials, and presentations related to invasive species. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Oakland University in Biology, with a focus on aquatic ecosystems. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her husband and cats.
